God with us,
Holy Eucharist!
The Spirit active,
Holy Eucharist!
God’s glory,
Holy Eucharist!
“ ‘I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” (Ezekiel 36 v 26)
A holy people,
Holy Eucharist!
A chosen generation,
Holy Eucharist!
Life in fullness,
Holy Eucharist!
Jesus’ holiness,
Holy Eucharist!
“Blessed is the (wo)man who trusts in Him!” (Psalm 34 v 8)
“Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him...Those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing.” (Psalm 34 v 9, 10)
For all thanks, all praise and certainly all glory ever be by the Lord Jesus living in us by the graced awareness of the Holy Spirit, “You, O LORD, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head.” (Psalm 3 v )
How grateful I am to receive You, Lord Jesus, in the Holy Eucharist.
You make our hope glorious as we turn to You and learn, taught by the Spirit, to properly love and honour our Father as best we can. Thank You for the fire of the Spirit.
Lord, Your living and dying for us is something of a mystery when re-presented to us in the Holy Eucharist, but we are sure You come to us under the form of bread and wine.
O most Holy Eucharist, how richly we are blessed by the real presence of Jesus come to us in this unique way, His way snatching us from the hands of the enemy.
Lord Jesus, You deliver us from all that is evil, all that satan would do to hurt or harm us. Thank You for Your protective Spirit, ever upholding us by moulding our holiness.
May this holiness increase as we partake of You, Lord Jesus, in the Holy Eucharist, so full of Your ever reverent goodness, so powerful in the active love of Your Spirit.
Lord Jesus, by the Holy Eucharist, You are our life, our hope, our peace, our joy. Have mercy on our wrongdoing. We plead forgiveness at Your †.
Thank You that we are sure You will rescue us from the shadow of the valley of death, for in You we find redemption, all according to Your love for us gifted in the Holy Eucharist.
Lord, as we serve our apprenticeship as Your disciples here, by the Holy Eucharist, making us holy by Your wisdom, truth, understanding and counsel.
Dear Lord Jesus, let us never turn away from You, ignore You, reject You, forget You, defy You, misjudge You. Our life must be given to You. Help us through the Holy Eucharist.
May each day be given to You, not feeling away from the blessings of Your holy company, for You are our Saviour, Master and Good Shepherd, an all loving Protector.
You gift us Yourself in the Holy Eucharist. Of all the peoples on the earth we are most richly blessed to possess You in holy communion and to be possessed by You, in the Spirit.
Your Spirit makes us pilgrims, thank You. May our conduct be without fault as the Spirit puts us on our guard against our many weaknesses.
Lord, only through You, in You, do we dare to enter the throne room of heaven. You are our saving help, our faith’s nourishment and sustenance as You feed us in the Holy Eucharist.
You gift us the fire of the Spirit to kindle our faith. May faith burn brightly within us, be powerful in holy love because we have partaken of You in holy communion, a most richly blessed and ever holy union.
May we fulfil Your perfect will as You pray for us and the Spirit inspires us. Let us live by faith and always act out of love. “A pure heart create for us, O God.” (based on Psalm 51 v 12)
Please, please do this through Jesus, by the Spirit, for we wish to delight and honour You and we cannot accomplish this of ourselves, for all too readily we fail. Forgive us our failures.
Grant us a heart that loves like the Lord Jesus loves. Gift us a life of holiness because our Saviour shares His power of love with us by means of the Spirit. May there be no stony ground without the harvest of faith.
Thank You Lord Jesus, that You come to us as the fulfilment of our Father’s covenanted love, His act of mercy towards us at Your †. All of this is remembered in the Holy Eucharist, “...that we might serve Him
in holiness and justice all the days of our life.” (Luke 1 v 75)
“He who is mighty has done great things for me” (v 49) for all of us who partake of the holy Body and Blood You offer us through the Spirit, Lord Jesus. “He has filled the hungry with good things.” (v 53)
May we ever be hungry for Your wisdom, truth and the grace of Your presence, ever keen to partake of the faith strengthening, life building Holy Eucharist, as we touch Your sacred heart of love.
Lord, where our love has grown cold, forgive us, redeem us, restore us once more by the fire of Your Spirit. May there no longer be any lukewarmness in our faith, no eclipsing of love by anger, resentment or jealousy.
Forgive please our self-centredness for this always spoils or ruins love’s outreach. May we in striving after holiness through partaking of the Holy Eucharist, love with all our heart, mind and soul as we are asked to.
Although the vision of Your full glory awaits us – “As for me, I will see Your face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness” (Psalm 17 v 15) – awaits our final salvation, I ask that we live to Your glory now.
“Christ in you, the hope of glory,” (Colossians 1 v 27) this is the promise, especially fulfilled by the gracious Holy Eucharist where the redemptive glory You won for us at the †is again recalled, Lord Jesus.
We are all to be fully united in Your love, “...brought near by the blood...” (Ephesians 2 v 13) You shed for us.
For You have made peace between peoples, between Jew and Gentile and between us and the Lord God. “For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.” (v 18)
Lord Jesus, You are “The chief cornerstone in whom the whole building being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom we also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.” (v 20, 21 based on v 22)
What an honour, what a grace, what an amazing gift, what a privileged people we are! You bring us close to heaven through the Holy Eucharist celebrated daily worldwide to gain again the prize of salvation.
How very richly blessed we are! There is no way higher, fuller, better than to receive of You directly, Lord Jesus, just as the first disciples did at the Last Supper.
I ask that as You dwell in our heart and mind, soul and spirit, by faith, through prayer and the impact of the Holy Spirit, may we “Know Your love, Lord Christ.” (based on Ephesians 3 v 19)
For this love surpasses all human knowledge and even our understanding, that is why a faith which trusts in You is vital, may we in Your Holy Eucharist, a perfect gift of perfect love, “Be filled with all the fullness of God,” (Cont.) that to God be the glory by You, to all peoples everywhere and forever.
You are our reassurance that one day all will be well, very well indeed, when the world turns to You, anointed by Your Spirit of love, appointed to love, to the glory of the Trinity.
In the Holy Eucharist, let us look for more, much more than our mere survival. Let us seek, find and develop a world revival of faith, starting through our partaking of the Holy Eucharist where love fully unites us with the Lord Jesus.
Only through Your love can we break the cycle of spiritual poverty, of immorality, of false gods as in our celebrity culture, of making the acquisition of money and status our aim.
In partaking of the Holy Eucharist, may we no longer, in any way whatsoever, have one thought nor undertake one action contrary to the wondrous power of Your love.
Instead, let us in seeking Your likeness, be changed from glory to glory as we delight to live by Your wisdom and truth, giving our everything offered in Your service, Lord Jesus.
We all need to know the love of the Lord God that You offer us, gifting an eternal meaning to life, our heavenly future held secure by You as prayerfully, daily we commit ourselves to You, especially in the Holy
Eucharist.
May this always result in the growth of true love’s outreach, its expanse and effectiveness shining like the brightest light of the wisdom and truth You gift us. Please make devotion to be of prime importance to us. I ask, knowing and rejoicing in the blessings of Your holiness. Thank You so much for sharing this with us.
Amen.
